Pinellas Window Tinting

Window Tinting Services

Picture
Pinellas Window Tinting offers several types of car window film, all of which provide protection from the sun.

The basic kinds include:

Dyed window tinting: This film is easier on the pocketbook and uses multiple layers of dye to block sunlight and helps to deter some heat from your vehicle but fails to meet the level of protection that pricier films have to offer. While this window tinting aids in providing privacy, it does tend to fade over time and will need to be replaced.

Metalized window tinting: In lieu of dye, this film uses small metallic particles to block the sunlight. These particles are imbedded in the film. Metalized window tinting is shatter and scratch resistant and strong and longer lasting and doesn’t fade.

Hybrid window tinting: This window film uses a combination of dye and metallic particles. It provides privacy and also blocks out a high percent of UV rays and heat from the sun.

Carbon window tint film: This type of film offers an element of attractiveness, is durable  and fade resistant.

Crystalline tinting: Due to its makeup , this window film appears as if there is no tinting at all and yet it blocks out the sunlight and heat.

Ceramic window tinting: For a higher quality car window tint, ceramic is the ideal choice. Though a more expensive option, ceramic is highly effective in preventing fading and glare and, unlike metallic tinting, ceramic film doesn’t interfere with a car’s electronic equipment.

We, at Pinellas Window Tinting are of the opinion that we should apply window tinting according to each individual car. Bottom line: what is primo for your vehicle is what we should use. Caution: do not let a car window tinting company use home window tint on your vehicle! Some unscrupulous outfits might try to make you believe that there is no difference between auto window tint and home window tint.
